Salesforce Winter '25 Release is coming soon. In my earlier post, I have shared the information regarding the important dates about this release like when the pre-release org is coming, when sandbox will be migrated to Winter '25 and absolutely when production org will be migrated to Winter '25.

This is the time when we should figure it out what new feature this release is bringing. Then implement those feature if needed in sandbox and making sure it will not break any of our existing implementation. That is why it is very important to know what new feature this release is bringing to us. In this blog post and youtube video, I will be sharing few of my favourite admin features coming along with Winter '25 release. Please provide your feedback in the comment and if you find something interesting from this release, don't forget to let me know by putting that in the comment section.

The form you have selected does not exist.

Dynamic Highlight Panel

With the introduction of Dynamic Highlight panel, you don't need to deal with Compact Layout anymore. You can add the Dynamic Highlight panel in your lightning page layout and add fields by dragging and dropping them in the desired section. You can also add actions in that section. So no more switching between Lightning Page and Compact layout to handle to look and feel of the record page. Below are few screenshots to demonstrate Dynamic Highlight Panel for Account record page.

Object Access

After Winter 25 release, if you go to any Salesforce object, you will find an option called "Object Access".Clicking on that, it will tell you what level of permissions you have for that object in each permission set, permission set group, profile level. This is a very powerful feature to provide object level access in one single place.

Access Granted By

This is one of my favourite feature from Winter 25 release. With this feature, if you go to User's View Summary Page, you will be able to find out which permission set, permission set group or profile is giving that specific permission to the user. This is super helpful while debugging some security issues like why some user is able to see particular record and why others not. From one single page, you can find out what level of access that user is having and which one is giving that permission to the user.

Description on Group & Queue

After Winter '25 Release, you will have the option to put description against Group and Queue. This is super helpful to document the reason for the group or queue and what purpose it is supposed to solve.

New Setup Menu

Winter 25 release is segregating Setup options into two. One being the old one, holding all setup options, whereas the other one is more specific to the service console and it is called Service Setup.

Enhanced User List View

Winter 25 is bringing Enhanced User List View option which you can enable by going into Setup -> Users -> User Management Settings. And from there enable the option "Enhanced User List View". This will manage users with a faster, updated user interface on the Users Setup page.

Final Thoughts

That's all for today. I hope you are as excited as me because of these faboulous features. As I discover more and more features, I will bring them to you here in. this blog as well as my youtube channel. So it is highly recommended that you please subscribe to my channel and blog to come to know about all the nice features. Thank you!!
