Salesforce Winter '25 Release is coming soon. In my earlier post, I have shared the information regarding the important dates about this release like when the pre-release org is coming, when sandbox will be migrated to Winter '25 and absolutely when production org will be migrated to Winter '25.

I have published a post dedicated to what are the new admin features from Winter 25 release. You can read the post by clicking here or watch the video by clicking here. In today's blog post, I will share the enhanced Flow Repeater Component where you can pre-populate the Repeater element with existing data and take actions accordingly. Please provide your feedback in the comment and don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel and blog pot.

Introduction to Flow Repeater Component

The Flow Repeater component in Salesforce is a feature used within the Salesforce Lightning Flow Builder. It allows for the creation of dynamic lists that can display a collection of records or data. This component is particularly useful for scenarios where you need to show multiple items in a flow, such as a list of related records, and allows users to interact with these items. I have already published couple of videos in my youtube channel covering this powerful component. You can find them below -

Data Source for Flow Repeater Component

When you will add the Repeater Component in the Screen element, you will find one option Under Configure Data Source section, named as Collection for Prepopulated items. This is the place where you will provide the collection of records. Any child element you will add inside Repeater will get the data from this collection. This feature is very powerful, because if you have 4 elements inside the collection variable, repeater component will be displayed 4 times with each 4 four records displayed in one of the repeated items.

Other Properties of Flow Repeater Component

You will also configure whether you will allow yours users to add new items or allow users to remove pre-populated items under Configure Display Options section. And definitely you can control when you want to display this component under Set Component Visibility section.

Output of Flow Repeater Component

This Flow Repeater Component will provide 4 outputs to deal with different scenarios. They are -

  • All Items - This collection will contain all the pre-populated items and also the newly added items.
  • Added Items - This collection will only contain newly added items.
  • Prepopulated Items - This collection will only contain prepopulated items.
  • Removed Items - This collection will only contain removed items.

Final Thoughts

That's all for today. I hope with this blog post and youtube video, you will be able to figure this component out and will start using this in your implementation. In next couple of days, I will bring more Winter 25 features in this blog as well as my youtube channel. So it is highly recommended that you please subscribe to my channel and blog to come to know about all the nice features. Thank you!!

Salesforce Cancels the “Permissions in Profiles” Retirement: What It Means for Admins and Architects

For the last few years, Salesforce administrators, architects, and security teams have been preparing for a major platform change: the retirement of permissions managed directly through Profiles.
